A Secret for Two Essay

Imagine yourself waking up each morning and knowing that where you are heading there will be someone who you love and trust waiting for you. However, as time passes and some things happen which you can't avoid, that special person or animal disappears causing you to become depressed ir even suffer death. A story like A Secret for Two is the kind of tale that might seem to have the perfect and happy ending but just one tragedy can cause the world of a person to collapse. This story shows how important a relationship with someone can be and how big of an impact it can leave when they are gone.
This story, like many others, has the types of characters that are very close and care about each other. Pierre, an old man whose job is to deliver milk to the Prince Edward Street accompanied by his horse Joseph, is the type of individual who knows that even though he is not as you as he once was, he will not quit his job until his body doesn't allow him to continue anymore. Joseph was a huge help for Pierre, since he had already memorized the milk route within a year. He didn't need the reins, Joseph never touched them.
Every person that witnessed these two together on the streets were instantly captivated by such focus that both of them had in their eyes. However that didn't stop from showing how happy they were to be working together. As time passed some people began to gossip about Pierre's age and if he should retire, but in the case of Pierre this was never going to happened because the bond that he and Joseph shared wasn't worth retiring. This comes to show that when you trust or love a person it is almost impossible for the two to be apart, and that is what happened to Pierre and Joseph.
A story like A Secret for Two is a great story that includes a great moral which is teaches people that friendship is a great thing and you should enjoy every minute of it. Hopefully when a person reads this story they can see how amazing it is to have somebody always be by your side however, when they are gone they are also leaving you with a big hole in your heart.

All Summer in a Day Essay

It is another typical day, the heavy rain keeps falling down as if it were to never stop. There is only one flicker of hope inside that tells us that it will all be over soon, and one day our eyes will be able to have the opportunity to see the bright and sizzing sun once and for all. All Summer in a Day by Ray Bradbury, is a story in which may include one of the best morals there is to learn, which is to never judge anyone for their differences, but for the kind of person that they truly are.

As human beings, we are always wanting something new, either sentimentally or materialistically. However, in the case of a nine year old girl named Margot the only thing that she truly desired was to see the sun again. Since she lives in the planet Venus, where an ordinary day never excludes the rain, for her to see the sun again a miracle would have to occur. Margot who is actually from Earth is very timid and has no interest in interacting with kids her age. This is the main reason why she doesn't have any friends who can support her when she is feeling depressed.

Even though Margot's shyness isolated her a lot from the rest of her class, when she heard that scientists were predicting sunlight in the skies, she instantly felt as if her heart was going to explode from excitement. This was all she had ever wanted for five long years, and now that she knew that the kids in her class would see the sun too made it even better. They would never call her liar anymore or accuse her of not knowing anything about the sun.

The day had arrived, minutes and hours passed but still no sun. It was obvious that tension was in the air however, Margot still never lost hope. People in her class were getting very impatient but one in paricualr, William who would always bother Margot for no reason. Something that is normal for any kid that is jealous because of unexperienced events, in this case seeing the sun. After he and the class got tired of waiting, William started to call Marogt a liar and ended up locking her in a room as a "joke". This was such a selfish act because, eventually the sun did come out and when he and the class were enjoying the beautiful day, Margot was locked up and unable to do anything about it.

Stories like All Summer in a Day are great because they contain really important morals to them which make the readers think about life in another way. Teaching them to be honest and respect people even if they are or aren't different from one. Hopefully this story will leave readers with the kind of feeling to help and respect the people around them.
